I still remember my father telling me stories around the dinner table. Tales of tenacious and bold natured dogs with an underlining loyalty and love of children.
They called these dogs Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
Twenty years later and my Stafford’s continue to bring as much joy to me now as they did then. We show our dogs but the truth is they are still pets. It’s a delicate balance between a humble pet and crated show dog carried around the country side.
Kerrie and I are not full time exhibitors. We only attend the local circuit, limiting us to only a handful of shows a year with Townsville being as far as we choose to travel.
We try to attend Specialty Shows regularly as we can become very isolated in Far North Queensland. With the breeds segregation between Specialty Shows and Regular Champ Shows, it’s become increasingly more important for us as breeders to find a balance between the two.
Kerrie and I share a devoted passion and interest in all facets of the breed.
As registered breeders of the CCCQ our continuing goal is improving the standard of the breed.
